Tell us your love story…

We met on Tinder, we both joined as banter between our friends, we not expecting anything to come of it, was just fun, but as we got talking, the connection was so strong from the beginning and it just felt right, we had so much in common but also brought new perspectives to each other’s lives, and now the rest is  history. 5 years later we’re married!

The proposal story is a moment neither of us will forget. Sam proposed at our home, he decorated the floor and bedroom with rose petals and had pictures of us with little love messages. “All of me” was playing by John Legend and he got down on one knee and of course I said yes, while crying my eyes out.

What was your inspiration for the decor and styling…

We knew we wanted a baby blue and white theme as the colours work so well together, then once we met with Lisa from Ambience venue styling, she took our ideas and turned it into reality.
We wanted beautiful and romantic and we got that. Plus we knew we wanted the stationary as cocktail themed as that’s something that connects us and Lisa delivered that so well, with the martini centre pieces and table names/plan.

What were your favourite moments of the day…

Seeing each other for the first time as Lisa walked down the aisle. Nothing can beat the moment you see your future husband/wife. It was beyond special and something we will cherish forever.

What made you choose Wootton Park…

As soon as walked into the venue, we knew. It had everything we wanted, the rustic feel, the open space, the layout. We couldn’t fault it, and didn’t want anywhere else after we saw it.

What was the biggest challenge you faced in the run up to the wedding…

COVID was a big challenge, people testing positive, isolation. The uncertainty of that was a massive challenge but we kept saying what will be will be. As long as we are there and together then that’s all that matters.

What was the best piece of advise you were given in the run up to your big day…

Cherish every moment, because the day will fly by and before you know it, it’ll be over. So enjoy, smile, laugh and have the best day ever.
