First steps
The important thing is to book the date you want with your chosen wedding venue whilst thinking about your budget & what you’d like on your special day. Decide whether you’d prefer a church or civil ceremony wedding & book the church or registrar along with your venue. Make sure you get an all inclusive quote from your venue & that the little things (& big things like VAT) are included.
As this is a once in a lifetime experience you’ll want to make this the most amazing day of your lives & create memories for both yourselves & your guests. There are some local (within 5 miles) & recommended suppliers on the following pages. There may be some ideas you haven’t thought of!
Send out Save the Date cards to your guests so it’s in their diary when planning holidays etc.
After booking your venue and ceremony choose you best man & maid of honour. Visit some wedding fayres to get ideas & contacts for suppliers you’d like to use. Check out our Facebook page for lots of ideas & dates for forthcoming wedding fayres.
Next book your photographer & videographer, transport, toastmaster (if required), outfits, honeymoon (don’t forget to check your passports & visas if required), dress, cake, favours, flowers, rings, hairdresser, makeup, order the invitations & start your gift list.
